Today’s blog is about getting clarity. Clarity about who you work with and more specifically how you help them.
The thing is you can probably help loads of different people but it makes attracting your ideal clients so much more difficult if you’re not absolutely clear who you help and how you help them.
The first thing to think about is make sure you know, is gender an issue, do you help both men and women? Is it young and old? Get clear on the ideal profile of your ideal client because when you get that deal client profile you know exactly what their pain points are, you know exactly what’s affecting them on a daily basis and it makes it so much easier for you to resonate with them because they know you’re speaking specifically to them.
Don’t worry if you work with loads of different age groups, then what I would say is, choose one group, in particular, to focus on now and when you have all the clients you want work within that sector or age group you can move on to market to another.
I want you to think of it like this, if you were sending an email out to one of your prospects the email that you might send to a 20 or 30 year old is very different to the message you would be sending to a 40, 50, 60 year old, you can see where I’m coming from.
The challenges and problems that your ideal clients will be having for different age groups but it might be that the problems your ideal clients are having might be different. We all see and experience the world in a different way but your whole focus is, when one of your prospects reads or see’s any of your communication they know your speaking to them. They feel like your just speaking to them and when you’ve got that magic you know you’re on the right track.
Take a look at who you’re communicating with and ask yourself, can you be more specific. Stop trying to be everything to everyone and be something really special to a certain group of people.
Let me know how you get on putting this into practice and see you next time.
